This is the thicker, light worsted weight version of Spiral Grain Sport. (We also find the colours to be more saturated.)
Also spun from 100% Merino with a micron count of 19 - which means it's very soft, and beautifully smooth!
Dyed in the wool, and consistent from one skein to another, this yarn is perfect for patterns such as The Nightshift and the Humulus (great paired with Woolstok Worsted). More pattern inspo in this Ravelry Folder. (Look out for kits coming soon!).
This yarn works up into long gradients and/or stripes of colour, as opposed to the short repeats from a variegated yarn. Colours will shift, marl, barber pole and shift back again. No pooling!
Each stunning colourway has been named after the tree that it resembles, in honour of Urth's love of trees.
Oh, and don't forget that Urth Yarns plant a tree for every single skein sold.

Urth Yarns is a family owned yarn company specializing in hand dyed natural yarns. We value the time and emotional investment that go into hand knitting; therefore appreciate your demand for a stimulative feel and yummy colors. Developing and employing innovative dyeing techniques, we aim for a love at first sight or touch, every time.
Mass production made us forget how to use our hands and bring out the individuality about ourselves. Human touch makes all the differen
ce. Knitting and crocheting are good for the body, the mind but also for the earth as a means of sustainable clothing production. Raise your needles and hooks if you are with us!
Our yarns are dyed and prepared by skilled hands of women at our studios in Mersin and Istanbul.
Now is the time to give back. We are happy to let you know that knitting is just another way to keep the earth green. Every skein of Urth Yarns plants a tree. Join us in helping Trees for the Future in their mission to provide families with tools and knowledge to plant trees in Africa. For more information, visit our "Trees" page.
"Planting trees provides families with more than just food. It provides income, empowerment, unity, leadership, education and even saves lives. When we can teach people to value themselves and their environment, they see amazing improvements in their standard of living."
Inspiration is everywhere and we draw ours from the local landscape, people, flora and fauna, as well as contemporary fashion and international trends. "
