Becci and Markus, both engineers by trade, hand dye British wool yarns while travelling around the UK waterways on their narrowboat home and studio.

RiverKnits wool yarn is all sustainably sourced from within the UK, you won’t ﬁnd any Merino here! The majority of the range today is Bluefaced Leicester; a lustrous English longwool. It makes a soft and strong yarn, and takes dye beautifully.

The 100% BFL which is perfect for no-nylon socks, and everything else. RiverKnits' blends with silk and cashmere make drool-worthy shawls and other luxury garments.

RiverKnits yarn is dyed in layers, which takes a long time, but it is so worth it for the complex and subtle appearance!
