Tribe has a special history and relationship with Urth Yarns; we have stocked Urth since we opened our doors back in 2018, and we were (and are) proud to be their first UK stockist!

Urth Yarn is a family-owned business that specialises in hand-dyed natural yarns and employs innovative dyeing techniques.

Produced from their studios in Istanbul and Mersin, Turkey, each of their exquisite yarns is dyed and prepared by a skilled team of women before making its way across all corners of the world.

It’s probably not news that Tribe loves sustainability and the environmentally conscious. In fact, we love it so much that we’ve upped roots from our Richmond base to an organic farm in Scotland!

Urth Yarns really resonates with our ethos, being known for its commitment to sustainability and environmentally friendly practices, including planting a tree for every skein of yarn sold.

As well as being all-around good eggs, Urth achieves all of this while producing stunningly vibrant, visually striking colourways and yarns that showcase exceptional quality, creative hand-dyeing techniques and incredible skill and craft.
