YARN SUGGESTIONS
You'll need a "sticky" non-superwash yarn for lovely steeked shawl! And don't worry if it's your first steeking adventure - it's not as scary as it sounds, especially on a shawl.
This pattern is published in 52 Weeks of Shawls by Laine Publishing.
Iney is the Russian word for “frost”. This stranded colourwork wrap has a modern, geometric design that reminded Nataliya of icy patterns formed on the window glass during the cold winter days.
Iney is a triangular wrap knitted bottom up in the round. The trickiest part of the pattern is the steeking and the folded hem. If you have never performed steeks, we recommend trying it first on the swatch.
