    • Hør Silke is a gorgeous blend of the finest French flax (70%) and wild tussah silk (30%), spun into fine thin threads, which are then twisted and then chained up into this unique yarn.

The huge benefit of lots of thin plies, instead of fewer thick ones is lots of fluff-free volume. And the silk adds a natural softness, suppleness and a slight natural sheen, which is superior to viscose, tencel or other semi-natural fibres in this yarn.

This yarn has such an elegant drape, with a colour palette to match.

As you knit, it may appear as if the stitches are jumping and dancing. But as soon as you have washed your knit for the first time, all the stitches straighten out and your knit becomes enchantingly beautiful. So, definitely block your knits made from this yarn. We also recommend soaking the finished item in clean water for a day for the first wash only, to really get the best final result.

This one has to be experienced, and creates gorgeous fabrics, which are perfect for warmer weather.

Made in Italy and Oekotex standard.

Knit HørSilke alone on needles 3-5 mm or together with a thread of Cashmere Lace on needles 4-5-6 mm.

    • This popular Danish brand was created in 1989 by Sus Gebhard.  Gepard Garn’s mission is to keep on providing high quality yarns, and inspiring patterns that bring joy to all the creative crafters who love to knit – just like we do.

Gepard collaborates with small, family-owned, Italian yarn mills with tradition and extensive knowledge of spinning and dying – the sort of knowledge that makes them among the premier in Italy both for trend product and classic yarns.

We love the fact that these yarns are unique, high quality and yet accessible. And we love the colour palettes which are always fun and easy to style.
