"Shepherds Silver": subtle, elegant silver-grey. 100% British Wensleydale Longwool Yarn.
"On a Dark & Stormy Night": deep, brooding shades of charcoal-chocolate. 100% British Wensleydale Longwool Yarn.
"Mevagissey Mizzle": gentle shades of soft grey and seaside fog. This Limited Edition yarn is an exquisite blend of 10% British Bluefaced Leicester, 60% British Romney lambs wool, 30% British Wensleydale long lambs wool.
"Soft as Sea Mist": beautifully uniform, pure creamy white. Kemp-free, like Wensleydale, but with a multi-directional crimp which gives the yarn extra sponginess and bounce!
70% Britsh Romney Lamb & 30% British Dorset
Wensleydale produce long, silky, and fine wool fibers. It's more common to find it Worsted spun, which produces a lean and shiny yarn, tons of drape but also very heavy.
We love it woollen spun! It's much more airy, with a pretty mohair-esque halo, and tons of warmth and rustic charm, but still plenty of drape and movement.
And it's softer than most long-wool fibers, but not soft-soft like a merino.
A soft but durable yarn in colours the sheep intended.
It's perfect for sweaters as well as hats, mitts and shawls.

In 2010, Juli and her son Anton set out rearing and raising a flock of Wensleydales to produce beautiful, natural coloured fibre.
They also partner with local shepherds to create soft yet durable yarn, in colours the sheep intended: natural colours, no dyes.

Celebrated for their fine lustre long wool and naturally rustic colours, these British Sheep are giant crimp and curly haired teddybears. Over the years we expanded the flock to showcase three main colours.
“No fuss, nothing unnecessary and keep it as natural as possible” has always been the forefront of our mission. From lambing, to processing we keep everything as natural as it can be to produce natural coloured yarn in each of the three colours our sheep spent so much love and time growing. Thanks Sheep’ies!
At the Raw Wool Company the Rare Breed Wensleydale spoke to us as breed because of the smooth, non itchy (kemp free) and durable yarn they produce but mostly we fell in love with the natural colours these sheep boast.
We have created a yarn that the Wensleydale sheep themselves are proud to wear, untouched by chemical dyes for a more natural yarn, celebrating all natural British rare breed wool.
