Since the 20% linen in this yarn doesn't absorb colour as the 80% wool does this gorgeous yarn has a really interesting structure. The linen fibre lies smoothly over the wool to give a lovely mélange effect to the yarn.
It also has a ‘cooler’ feel due to the linen content. It is ideal for knitting together with other Isager yarns but also works well used individually for children’s wear and summer sweaters.
It's lovely for men's sweaters, as can be seen in Marianne Isager's book DÆXEL.
It's a 3-ply so it works really well in textured patterns, and since the yarn is very soft, in can be used by many people who are otherwise allergic to wool.

Renowned for classic yarns made from natural fibres, well suited for knitting, crochet, weaving and embroidery.
All the wool qualities are ideal for felting and for dyeing with plant dyes.
It is important to us that our yarns are produced with the greatest amount of care taken to both animals and humans.
As a rule, single ply, densely spun yarns should not be used individually for working in the round, as they may pull the finished work. When worked together with other qualities this problem is avoided.
