Woolstok by Blue Sky Fibers is our new favourite worsted / heavy DK weight wool!
Spun from exceptionally high quality 100% Fine Highland Wool, Woolstok is wonderfully squishy and bouncy. It's brilliant for stitch definition and colour work alike.
With absolutely NO ITCH, yet bucket loads of warmth, you can't go wrong with this "proper wool" for sweaters and accessories alike. You'll be totally happy with this right on your skin.
Only the finest of this clip from select Peruvian Highland sheep is used for Woolstok, a worsted-weight yarn, strong and sturdy, gently plied to give it loft, lightness and a soft hand.
We are completely in love with the palette too - rich, deep solids through to complex heathers. The mélange colours are achieved through fiber dyeing before it is spun, and then blended to create the unique look.

Shortly after graduating college, owner/founder Linda Niemeyer's curious preoccupation with Alpacas led to her buying one. Soon Linda found herself with a lot of yarn on hand. She took it to a nearby yarn store, which was willing to buy and sell it. And the rest, as they say, is history.
Today Blue Sky Fibers is known worldwide for its consciously crafted collection of high-quality natural fibers and patterns. One can only imagine how things might have turned out differently had Linda been obsessed with giraffes instead.
