    • We are beyond excited for this special little batch from Uist!

If you love unspun yarn, like incredible Manchelopi, you'll know how amazing this type of yarn is, and how it's the closest you can get benefitting from the natural properties in sheep's wool.

We requested this same quality of yarn from the team at Uist, and they have definitely delivered.

Conntraigh Cakes create a gradient stripe effect when knitted, blending subtly from pale, ice-cool grey into a dark, blue-slate grey and back again. Making the most out of the unique nature of Uist Mill's refurbished carding machinery, they can create this amazing effect with stunning results.

Thhe fiber in these cakes bring together a natural pairing of Cheviot and Zwartbles wool to create the magical strand that shifts from light to dark.

Fleeces are sourced locally from small communities in the stunning Outer Hebrides - an archipelago of islands flanking the Atlantic Ocean.

The Cheviot fleece makes this yarn hardwearing, bouncy and resilient for a garment or accessory that will last you a very long time. And Zwartbles fleece is dense and bouncy and known for it's natural deep, dark brown colour.

This fiber hasn’t been superwash-treated, so it will felt if you want it to, and it will make excellent candidate for steeking too!
