    • We love this pattern by Rastus Hsu, which is currently available in Laine Issue 17

JingWoo means a house of mirrors in Mandarin and is inspired by geometric origami squares. This piece is a fun and relaxing knit for anyone who enjoys creating a fascinating fabric with simple stitches.

The rectangular shawl is worked flat from end to end and uses two basic stitches — knits and purls — in a clever way. The result is a 3-dimensional origami square that resembles the symmetry and reflection in a house of mirrors.

      Your kit includes:
5 skeins of Opus (shown in Aperol)

      You will also need:
the Pattern (available in Laine Issue 17, and after October 2023 on Ravelry as a single pattern)
      3mm (US 2.5) 32” / 80 cm circular needles

      FINISHED MEASUREMENTS

Opus is super lush. "Buttery" is the perfect adjective for this yarn, which masquerades as a fine, cool cashmere but is in fact a hardy blend of merino and baby alpaca. It's technically a Fingering/4-Ply weight, but also knits up perfectly as a Sport weight since it's so lofty.
