Opus was developed by the amazing Carmen Schmidt - expert owner of A Yarn Story, to address the need for a yarn which is both soft & buttery and also a workhorse, so you know this will be a good 'un!
Opus is super lush."Buttery" is the perfect adjective for this yarn, which masquerades as a fine, cool cashmere but is in fact a hardy blend of merino and baby alpaca. It's technically a Fingering/4-Ply weight, but also knits up perfectly as a Sport weight since it's so lofty.
We carry the entire palette because we love it! The alpaca gives it a little halo, and the twist is wonderful for stitch definition. You won't regret adding this one to your stash! -
